Hi, I'm Zara, a Gold Coast family and motherhood photographer based in Elanora. I create warm, gently guided sessions for families across the Gold Coast, Palm Beach, Burleigh Heads and the Northern Rivers. My style is relaxed, filmic, and unposed. Every session begins with a phone chat so you feel completely at ease before we even meet.
How I photograph your family
I photograph the way I wish someone had photographed my own family, warmly, patiently, and without pretending anyone is anything other than exactly who they are. Sessions are gently guided. If your two year old melts down halfway through, we sit in the sand and let them have a snack. If you cry when you see your baby snuggled into your neck, we stop for a moment together. That's the point. These are photos you'll want to look at in twenty years, not photos that only work because everyone held their smile perfectly for a second.
Sessions I offer
Family sessions. Warm, gently guided family time at the beach, in your home, or somewhere that feels like you. Suits families with kids of any age.
Motherhood sessions. Real, tender portraits of you with your children. This is why I do what I do, put mums back in the frame, not behind the camera or cropped out.
Maternity sessions. Gold Coast maternity in-home or at the beach. Relaxed, elegant, celebrating you in this exact season.
Newborn sessions. Soft, in-home newborn sessions in your first few weeks. Baby led, no props, no forced poses.
Extended family. Multi-generation gatherings, milestones, or when the whole family is finally in one place.
Where I photograph on the Gold Coast
I photograph across the southern Gold Coast and into the Northern Rivers. Every location has a different feel, so if you're not sure where to start, we chat it through before booking. My home base is Elanora, so most of my sessions happen along the coast between Burleigh and just over the NSW border. Burleigh. Warm sand and headland light for those classic Gold Coast beach mornings. Miami. Quieter stretches and softer light, great for families who want a bit of space. Currumbin. Natural rockpools and creek mouths, softer than the tourist strip. Tugun and Coolangatta. Warm golden hour light for evening family sessions. Kirra. Wide open sand and beautiful late-day light. Hastings Point, Cabarita and Fingal. Just over the border into Northern NSW for stunning headlands and something slower and greener. If your favourite spot isn't listed here, ask. I'm always keen for new locations.
What to expect
Booking with me is meant to feel easy, not overwhelming. Here's the flow.
You get in touch. A short form or an email is enough.
We hop on the phone. I ask about your family, your kids, and what you want to remember. This chat is free.
You book and I hold your date. A small deposit locks it in.
We plan together. Location, outfits, timing around naps or moods, all figured out before the day.
We shoot. Relaxed, warm, guided but not stiff. Usually one to two hours.
Your gallery arrives. Beautifully edited and delivered within three to four weeks.

Family sessions start from $650 and motherhood sessions start from $550. Prices vary depending on the length of your session, the number of edited images included, and any add-ons you'd like. Full pricing is on my Pricing page.

A relaxed pre-session phone chat, help with location and outfit planning, the shoot itself (usually one to two hours), and a gallery of beautifully edited high-resolution images delivered within three to four weeks. The number of images depends on the package you choose, and upgrades are always available if you'd like more.

For weekends and school holidays, two to four weeks in advance is usually a safe window. For weekday sessions, sometimes a week is enough. If you have a specific date in mind, reach out as early as you can.

Yes, a deposit of 200$ holds your date once you're ready to book. The remainder is due when your gallery is delivered.

Your fully edited gallery is with you within three to four weeks. If you need something rushed for a birthday or a gift, ask and I'll do my best.

I would love to guarantee a perfect golden sunset at every session. But the weather isn't mine to command, and honestly, some of my favourite photos have been taken on cloudy, overcast, or windy days. Every kind of light has its own magic, and most sessions go ahead beautifully. I only reschedule if the weather makes shooting genuinely impossible, like heavy rain or a storm. Either way, I promise a session that captures your family exactly as they are.
